Locality: Located 4.40 miles north, northeast of Fort Gibson just south of Fort Gibson Dam on both west (Wagoner County) and east (Cherokee County) sides of the Neosho River

Environment description: Moist valleys and at middle or base of slopes on both south and north facing slopes, typically 45 degrees or greater. Typically associated with large boulders.
Number of plants sampled: 17
Associated species: Quercus muehlenbergii, Gymnocladus dioicus, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Staphylea trifolia, Amelanchier arborea, Vitis sp., Ampelopsis arborea, Tradescantia sp. (flowering), Smilax sp., Carya sp., Juglans nigra, Acer saccaharum, Cotinus obovatus and Ostrya virginiana.
Comment: Estimated population of 500-1,000 specimens across a 3.17 mile linear stretch. Specimens noted at time of sampling (30 April 2019) were close to peak flowering. Largest specimen noted was estimated at 11” d.b.h. and 55’ in height. Coordinates provided refer to specimen #F001. Coordinates for all other specimens may be provided upon request.
