Environment description: Growing on north facing slope above stream with Acer pseudosieboldianum, Camellia japonica, Sorbus commixta, Prunus takesimense. Slope is very rocky with apparently little soil.
Comment: DESCRIPTION: Multi-stemmed shrubs, 1.5-2m tall. Leaves green, some brown. Bark smooth, tannish gray.
