Locality: Arc of Appalachia Preserve System: Highlands Nature Sanctuary, Appalachian Forest Museum trail down near Rocky Fork Creek.

Environment description: On steep north-facing limestone slope and bluffs in rich deciduous forest above creek.
Associated species: Thuja sp.; Fraxinus sp.; Acer sp.; Tilia sp.; Ostrya virginiana; Asimina triloba; Celtis sp.; Staphylea trifolia; Hydrangea arborescens; Asplenium rhizophyllum

Comment: DESCRIPTION: leaf blades ca. 4" unless elongated to 10" tapering tip. Fronds with bulblets and herbarium specimen collected.;
