Environment description: Rocky, likely somewhat acidic substrate on north-facing slopes. Growing in association with Acer saccharum, Juniperus virginiana, Vaccinum sp., Quercus stellata, Rhododendron spp, Viburnum rufidulum, Castanea ozarkensis, Amelanchier sp., Ostrya virginiana, Nyssa sylvatica, Quercus alba, and Pinus sp..
Number of plants sampled: 8
Comment: Very localized population. Rare to infrequent. Additional (non-fruiting, 2015) specimens noted on west side of Big Piney Creek.
