Environment description: Open woodland; the woodland edge slopes gently down in elevation about 3 meters to a slow-moving stream and wetland area; plants are growing in a mixed deciduous and evergreen woodland about 1 to 2 meters above the wetland area.
Comment: Single and multi-stemmed small trees with an irregular spreading habit. Height: 3 to 5 meters; D.B.H.: about 10 cm. Fruit: laterally borne to drooping racemes of round fruits (0.3 inches in diameter), with up to 5 fruits per raceme; fruit grayish green, hard and prominently pubescent; borne terminally on axillary branches. Seeds collected.
