Locality: Sichuan Province, Muli County, Kangwuliangzhi Shan, In an east/west gorge on the south side of Kangwuliangzhi Shan, upstream from Camp 2
Environment description: In sun on flat ground on the bank of a stream in an east/west gorge on the south side of Kangwuliangzhi Shan, Flat slope, Gravelly loam, Residual trees and shrubs after logging
Comment: A dediduous shrub to 3m with up to 7 oval leaflets to 3.5cm x 2cm, glossy deep green above and paler below, thorns on underside of leaf midribserrulate, oval hips to 1.7cm x 1.2cm with persistent calyx with 5 sepals, turning red.
