Locality: Sichuan Province, Lower slopes on the east side of Erlong Shan (mountain).
Environment description: mountainside in a valley cool in summer, very steep slope, north, secondary storey trees and shrubs
Comment: Vigorus scrambling shrub to 4m with pale green sparsely spined shoots, buds almost enclosed by stipules, pinnate leaf to 16cm x 13cm with three pairs of elliptic leaflets to 7cm x 3 cm, dull mid green above and pale glaucous below, margins serrulate, venation pinnate, with a few spines on the under surface of rib, petioles to 2mm, brown above pale beneath, round berries to 12mm in diameter on cymes, yellow to rose and turning., Herbarium specimen collected.
