Associated species: Abies lasiocarpa, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Holodiscus dumosus, Juniperus communis, Mahonia repens, Picea engelmanii, P. pungens, Pinus contorta, Populus tremuloides, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Ribes, and Salix.
