Narrative
Accession is very uniform with below average vigor with an open, upgright growth habit. Originally recieved as A. arbutifolia, later identified in the field as A. x prunifolia, then reidentified again post genetic studies indicating A. arbutifolia. Fruits are burgundy-brownish in color that initiate coloration in early-mid October (central Iowa), typical for other Long Island germplasm of A. arbutifolia.
