Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Searingly hot, dry semi-desert hills.
Comment: Seed collected in the wild in Julfa District, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Lone, single-trunked tree approximately 18' tall with a nearly perfectly spherical crown; growing by itself with no other similar trees around it; leaves typically silver, narrow and elongated; fruit 2" diameter or slightly more, eaten by Azeri scientists with relish although they were gritty (though sweet). Beautiful tree, obviously extremely tough.
