Locality: Ketmen Mts. Village-Kirghiz sai. Southwest of Bol'shoye Asku Village. Heavily grazed area, no undergrowth. Heavily grazed area, no undergrowth.
Coordinates: 43.3397, 79.4817 (Map it)
Elevation: 1640m.
Environment description: Soil: Gravely loam. Incline 10-20%, north, open grazed. N. ridge above stream; rainfall 600-650mm. Dominant tree sp: Apricot,Crataegus;Assoc-Populus & Betula above 1660m. Dominant shrub sp: Sorbus,Berberis; Assoc-Lonicera.
Comment: Less than 1000 trees. Uniform on north slope. Area size 1km x 1/2km. Tree size uniform. Disease uniformity 5-10%, without scab. 50% fruiting, variable fruit uniformity. Fruit sample 1/50.

Narrative
Sampled 50 fruits from 1 tree.  Flesh flavor is subacid.   Fruit size is over 50mm.  Free of insects and disease.  Interesting striped.  Same as 01-01P-13, GMAL 4069.  GMAL 4728 is an individual seedling selection from seed lot GMAL 4010.  It was grown at the University of Minnesota.  Comments from Minnesota:  nice fruit. -- Domestic introgression intentified using 20K Illumina Infinium apple SNP array. Gold_Reinette is a grandparent
