Locality: Coosa Prairie Preserve. Site called the Grand Prairie. 6 miles northwest of Cave Spring, Georgia. From Cave Spring follow Georgia Route 411/53 west to Georgia Route 100. Melson Road to Jefferson Road. North side of road. Floyd County.

Environment description: Former commercial pine plantation now reverting to a more diverse forest mix. Full sun. Site was recently cut and vegetation is now regrowing with a rich mix of herbaceous and woody plants. Slope: <5%.
