Description:
Northern Iowa Germplasm was developed by bulking samples followed by a regeneration cycle executed at the University of Northern Iowa Tallgrass Prairie Center where plots were separated via distance of circa 1,500 feet from other Symphyotrichum novae-angliae plots. Original seed was collected from remnant prairies in the northern one-third of counties in Iowa.
