Environment description: 32% slope, western exposure, 457mm average precipitaion, soi soil texture sandy loam, with Artemisia tridentata, Agroryron spicatum, Festuca sp., Pelargonium sp., Balsamorhiza sp.
Comment: Seeds taken from 2 plants approximately 16 feet high, vigorous, separated by 1/2 mile and on relatively droughty sites for serviceberry, collected from 2-6 plants
