Environment description: Limestone along and in a ravine. Associated with Impatiens pallida, Actaea pachypoda, Staphylea, Menispermum, Ulmus rubra, and Quercus muehlenbergii (on higher ground).
Number of plants sampled: 5
Comment: Elevation ranged between 177 an 184 meters. Plants sampled had excellent leaf quality.

Environment description: Limestone along and in a ravine. Population rather restricted to north-facing and/or steep slopes.

Associated species: Ostrya virginiana, Staphylea trifoliata, Quercus muehlenbergii, Acer saccharum, Acer saccharum subsp. nigrum, Juniperus virginiana, Tilia americana, Rhus aromatica, Toxicodendron radicans, Vitis riparia, Quercus alba, Ulmus rubra, Cercis canadensis, Lonicera maackia, and Cornus racemosa.
Comment: Recollection. Population noted of approximately 200-250 plants. Fruit production minimal due to shading and bird predation. Sampled 9 specimens.
