Tree. 15 meters in height. 34 cm D.B.H. Dark bark, tightly ridged, developing blocks with age. Leaves opposite, oval with acuminate tips. Cymes of blue-black fruit; approximately 0.5 cm in diameter. Seed used for cooking oil.
