Locality: Valley SE of Yerevan on way to Bayburt.

Elevation: 1351m.
Environment description: Dirt Track. There are 32 species of Pyrus in this area, the gorge of river Azat. This area is a small part of what is known as the Khosrov Reserve. Near the site was Cerasus (wild cherry) that has been used as cherry rootstock.
Comment: This is where the classical taxonomic work on Pyrus was done. Eliagina (olive), Rosa spinosa, Clematis, Hypoppea chamnoides (fruit used for vitamins), Salvia versitillata, Achillea setosa, Achillea mecrantha also growing.
