Distrito Garay. 38 km NW of Fortin Tte. A. Encisco on Transchaco road to Nueva Asuncion. Along road at crest of hill by large Prosopis tree. Collected from the west side of the road.

Open chaco forested grassland on stabilized sand dunes. Pure red sand. Schinopsis and Jacaranda trees.

Armadillos actively digging fro fruits. Encountered mature early-season seed crop and immature late-season fruit crop.
