Environment description: Growing along river bank in moist woodland. Growing in rocky, well-drained soil with high organic matter. Slope: 45 degrees.
Associated species: Epimedium sp.; Micromeles alnifolia [listed as Sorbus alnifolia]; Indigofera amblyantha; Goodyera repens; Photinia davidiana [listed as Stranvaesia davidiana]; Actaea asiatica.
