Locality: Shexian County, Qingliang Peak Reserve: Hoershi. Valley called the Da Xi, which supposedly means Elephant-Lion Valley.

Environment description: Growing over path as an understory plant, open woodling near stream. Slope 30 degrees, east southeast aspect. Soil gravelly and crumbly, dry and well-drained. Growing in association with Quercus glauca, Litsea, Lindera, Rhus sp., Lespedeza.
