Narrative

P-HL-B is a semi-dwarfing sweet cherry rootstock bred by the 'Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology, Holovousy Ltd., Horice, Czech Republic. It is more dwarfing than Colt but rather difficult to propagate by green-wood cutting. It is a seedling of a wild mazzard tree, open pollinated. Tree morphology suggests that it is a hybrid of Prunus avium and Prunus cerasus. (as to Jan Blazek comunication)
