Narrative
Type = Rotundifolia. White Male is a selection of V. rotundifolia made from the seedlings of the muscadine variety Scuppernong by the Georgia Experimental Station. White Male was used early in their muscadine breeding program as a pollen parent in various crosses with named varieties and station selections. Dulcet, Hunt, and Yuga were some notable F1 introductions. Derivatives of these F1's were used to ultimately produce Higgins, Fry, Jumbo and in turn such varieties as Cowant, Summit, Triumph, etc.
