Narrative
Type = Rotundifolia. Flower type = Male. Per Barrett: "The existence of this vine was brought to my attention in the summer of 1988 by Larry Clinton, Larry learned of this vine from his uncle, Mr. C.L. Thornhill, who found the vine growing in his cattle pasture near Winter Haven, Florida. Very vigorous V. munsoniana. One of the largest Vines Barrett had observed in the wild. He measured the circumference as 27 inches at breast height. Named after Mr. C. Thornhill (owner of cattle pasture where found) who first noticed this vine and brought it to Barrett's attention. In January 1989, this vine was oberved growing through the limbs and branches of several, oak trees in a partly wooded section of Mr. Thornhill's cattle pasture.
