Environment description: Growing between road and herb field with Cornus macrophylla, Sasa, Castanea, Camellia japonica, Acer okamotoanum.
Comment: Single stem trees, 6m tall. Bark charcoal gray, fairly smooth. Leaves shiny, dark green with pink petioles. Fruits glaucous blue. Sd. from 2 plants. Herb. spec. NEK 362.
