Narrative
Population localized in low area along edge of cultivated sunflower field and into slough. Few wild plants in cultivated field. High population variability, effective population size - 50 plants. Mixed population, most plants tall with larger H. annuus heads, some hybrid plants had head diameters up to 10.2 cm and were multibranched. Sunflower beetle present. Collected cultivated plants (R-9 stage), hybrid types and wild plants.
