Narrative
Superior for seedling drouth tolerance and plant survival and forage production. More efficient in water use than any other known forage or crop species. Excellent seed producer. Good at elevations below 1400 m with 25-30 cm annual rainfall. Intermediate seed weight, chromosome number 2n=40, bunch type, blue-green foliage, yellow-anther, postharvest seed dormancy.
