Narrative
Early maturing, high-yielding variety. Seed contains higher percentage oil than N-852 or other varieties available during 1940's and early 1950's. Plant type fairly uniform although slightly variable for flower color. Flower color yellow in bud and full bloom stages, turning to brownish yellow upon drying. About 2-3% of plants have orange flowers. Seedlings have rapid early growth and do not form a rosette after emergence. Plants medium height and moderate branching habit. Seed heads medium sized. Seed white, long and narrow shaped with heavy vienation
