Narrative
Selected by comparative evaluation from broad based collection in 1960's-1970's. Selected for attractive and vigorous blooms. Differs from most daylilies by displaying bright orange floral parts. Increased by direct vegetative propagation. Glabrous, herbaceous scapose, stoloniferons. Leaves linear, 3-6 decimeters long, 1.5cm wide, erect 5.5dm to 9dm tall, with 1-2 bracteal leaves near the summit, forked into 2 bracteate racemes. Pedicels 5-21mm long, flowers perfect, Perianth orange up to 10-12cm across, fruit fails to develop. Roadside and const. wetland beautification
