Narrative
Shrub perennial, 2m tall or more if climbing branches find support. Flowers greenish-white with purple anthers and style, nodding. Fruits large, to 10cm long, pendent. Shape elongated, acuminate, somewhat distorted. Skin shiny, turning orange then red when ripe. Mildly piquant. Flesh thick and firm. Seeds light yellow. Common.
