Narrative
-Orig. in Siletz, Lincoln County, Ore., by Norwood J. Nute. Introd. in 1957. Plant patent 1936; 19 Apr. 1960. Seedling of a native Oregon trailing blackberry (Rubus macropetalus Dougl.); discovered in 1951. Fruit: large, only when grown under the cool, moist conditions of the Oregon coast; reddish; quite soft; flavor good, acid content low; apparently does not process well; resembles Cascade. Bush: trailing; production only fair. Wonderful flavor but only stores about 3 hours, won't ship BandO

the first author to unite
