Narrative
Resistance to Pangola stunt virus (PSV) transmitted by planthopper Sogata furcifera. High forage yield. Vegetatively propagated hexaploid with 6x=54 chromosomes. Stoloniferous, tufted with erect culms. Leaf blades wide, 10-13mm. Stolons length 2m, glabrous. Leaf sheaths scabrous or rough with occasional long hairs near the apex. Grown on sandy upland soil, not adapted to wet Florida flatwoods soils. Propagated vegetatively and plantings should be during the rainy season.
