Narrative
Bush habit, fruits orange. Yellow pigmentation occurs prior to anthesis. As fruit grow it becomes progressively more deeply orange externally and internally. Flesh contains 2-3 times more carotenes, 4-5 times more xanthophylls, and 1.6 times more beta carotene than flesh of 'Table King'. Immature fruits not over 2 inches in diameter can be steamed and eaten whole. Baked mature fruits have superior flavor, tenderness, and freedom from fiber.
