Narrative
The seeds are white, flowers pink, leaves green. The RRC class type is: Nepal. NODA #44. It was unbranced, leaning, lodged and did not mature in the field. Observations from the Rodale Research Center, 1988 Rodale Amaranth Germplasm Catlaog. Emmaus, PA. Seed shipped with closing of Rodale Amaranthus program. At the time of the 1986 selection, Kauffman noted that the stem was thick, 1 m tall, "very stocky" the flowers were pink and the seeds white.
