Comment: Exploration for Rubus Germplasm in Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China. A China-USA Collaborative Project with the Nanjing Botanical Garden, Guizhou Botanical Garden and the USDA-ARS-National Clonal Germplasm Repository-Corvallis. Plants trailing, canes 2-3 m long hanging off bank in shade of other shrubs/trees. Tends to grow singly or occasionally with a few plants nearby. Mature fruits black, small bitter astringent and inedible. Collected seeds only from 1 plant.
