Environment description: The region is extensively cultivated or too steep for access so government official needed to help collect. Hangning from cliff, growing in full shade of other trees and shrubs, along road in creek valley
Comment: Exploration for Rubus Germplasm in Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China. A China-USA Collaborative Project with the Nanjing Botanical Garden, Guizhou Botanical Garden and the USDA-ARS-National Clonal Germplasm Repository-Corvallis. Long canes, one plant 2.0 to 2.5 m and another to 5.5m, hanging down a bank under the shade of other shrubs. Plants grow as individuals, i.e., not in colonies. Plants with mature and imature fruit now. (see memo for more)
