Environment description: On the lower edge of bunds supporting corn patches, on a cliff above road at 1,108 m and 1,237 m.
Comment: Exploration for Rubus Germplasm in Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China. A China-USA Collaborative Project with the Nanjing Botanical Garden, Guizhou Botanical Garden and the USDA-ARS-National Clonal Germplasm Repository-Corvallis. Plants of this species in this region appear to have particularly large clusters of fruit on relatively small plants (0.3 to 1.0 m long). One one plant, which was 0.5 m, there were 50 fruits in one cluster.
