Environment description: small plants growing among the grass and weeds in open exposed areas of the arboretum
Comment: Exploration for Rubus Germplasm in Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China. A China-USA Collaborative Project with the Nanjing Botanical Garden, Guizhou Botanical Garden and the USDA-ARS-National Clonal Germplasm Repository-Corvallis. Many small (0.4 - 0.8 m) plants growing among the grass and weeds in open, exposed areas in the arboretum. Fruit red, mature now. Seeds collected from many plants, and herbarium specimens, vegetative only.
