Environment description: land cleared, few native trees left but patches of planted trees occur on the north slopes, plants on bank above road and in draw
Comment: Exploration for Rubus Germplasm in Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China. A China-USA Collaborative Project with the Nanjing Botanical Garden, Guizhou Botanical Garden and the USDA-ARS-National Clonal Germplasm Repository-Corvallis. Shrubs with woody stems, very vigorous, canes to 5 m growing on a roadbank and in draw below road. Plants grow in small colonies and are productive. Fruit in clusters of 2-8 fruit per cluster. The larger cluster is terminal.
