Narrative
Type = Cherry. Per Mel Westwood: observed to be resistant to the bacteria Pseudomonas and some other wet climate diseases. From "Comparison of Mazzard, Mahaleb, and Hybrid Rootstocks for `Montmorency' Cherry (Prunus cerasus L.)" by M.N. Westwood, A.N. Roberts, and H.O. Bjornstad: P. mahaleb untolerant of poorly drained soils, reccommended for light soils; tart cherries perform well on rootstock; observed ease of vegetative propagation by layerage; induces good growth and high yield.
