Locality: Karakal, Chitral district, NWFP province, about 2km west of Benazir Hotel in Brumboret Valley; collected from small farm on south facing slope above Brumboret valley - home of Mohamed Kahn; general topography = river valley in mountains

Elevation: 2092m.
Environment description: 50% sun exposure; 30 degree slope; south aspect; good drainage; surrounded by Prunus armeniaca, Juglans regia, Morus alba
Number of plants sampled: 4

Type = Peach. Per the collection observation notes of Maxine Thompson: "Harvest date Sept. 12-15; fruit rounded; greatly pubescent skin; skin color green-cream; no blush to red trace; flesh white-cream; little skin cracking; soft; intermediate texture; good eating quality; free to semi-free stone; used fresh locally; all peach trees seen in valley were very small - said to be mostly seed propagated and no names except 'Jungali' (which refers to seedlings); fruit mostly not ripe at time of collection; mixed seed sample (3-5 trees)."
