Per the collection observation notes of Maxine Thompson: "Harvest date August 18; fruit .95g, round, no juice color; skin black; poor eating quality, tastes very bitter, moderately firm, moderately juicy flesh; seed spherical, .26g; gall insects observed; used locally as fodder; fruit ripe at time of collection; indedible; large seed; fruit 10x12 mm; mean 5.6 fruit/cluster."
