Comments: Fruit: crab apple, small, 25-45 mm; skin 50-100% red, striped, unattractive; shape round-conic; flesh firm, yellow. Flavor subacid, slightly astringent; eating quality poor to fair; harvest season late August, 5 wks before Delicious. Tree: not precocious, very unproductive; fruits drop as they ripen; fire blight susceptibility rating 6. R.D. Way, 1991.
