Locality: Collected on road between Colima and San Antonio, .2 km south of San Antonio.
Elevation: 1219m.
Environment description: Very wet, tropical conditions. Trees that nuts were collected from were very tall: 80 feet tall, 27 inches in diameter, grey bark, furrowed - probably does not freeze. Trees 100 years old.

Narrative
Original collected nuts with husk, 2 inches; without husk 1-to-1-1/2 inches. These nuts were ripe, falling off tree, trees losing foliage. Harvest 30 August. Evaluation by A. Almehdi 10-6-87 (16) major ridges shell texture; light shell color; 3.3cm nut length; 3.6cm nut width; oval-uniform shape; light kernel color; 0.5cm shell thickness.
