Environment description: The first vegetation occuring at the top of the beach, where high tide is actively eroding.
Number of plants sampled: 3
Associated species: Persea borbonia; Pinus spp.
Comment: Seeds collected from three plants; voucher collected. Most of the woody understory vegetation including yaupon were killed from storm and salt damage this season. This collection included fruits from indivudals that had extremely heavy fruit set, and did not appear to suffer from storm/salt damage.
