Associated species: Acer negundo (common), Fraxinus velutina, Juniperus deppeana, Pinus ponderosa, Platanus wrightii (dominant), Ptelea trifoliata, Quercus sp., Rhus glabra, Rubus armeniacus (understory dominant), Salix gooddingii and Toxicodendron rydbergii.

Narrative
Plants sampled in nature had dark green, glossy leaves. Young bark is smooth and light grey, becoming dark and scaly with age. Approximately 50 feet in height.
