Associated species: Acer saccharinum, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Salix nigra, Asclepias incarnata, Lobelia cardinalis, Teucrium canadense, Rudbeckia laciniata, Carex muskingumensis, Physostegia virginiana, Polygonum pensylvanicum, Iris virginica, Persicaria amphibia, Sagittaria latifolia, and Bolboschoenus fluviatilis.
Comment: Sampled when fruits were both split open and exposing seeds (75%) as well as a few pods still slightly green (25%). Total area sampled: 2.34 acres. Greatest distance between plants sampled estimated at 0.27 miles. Estimated number of plants noted - 10,000.
