Narrative
Suckers in Asian Collections bed AC-C-04 from potentially multiple parent trees, NA 60687-R (and possibly also -P) and NA 62530-H. These accessions had different sources, but represent valuable wild-origin variation in the case of the former and potentially different wild origin in the case of the latter (the parent plants were cultivated, but likely of local wild origin). NA 60687 was collected in Anhui Province during the USNA 1988 Huangshan Expedition under field collection numbers SAS-040/SAS-L/SAT88058. The latter was collected by Dr. Clifford Parks under field collection number 85C-31 from two cultivated trees in Jianxi Province, on the edge of Lushan; the record insinuates a likely local wild origin.
