Environment description: Roadside. Very hot, dry, sandy soil. Scrubby habitat.
Number of plants sampled: 14
Associated species: Opuntia sp., Helianthus sp., Phlox glabriflora, Nama hispida, Aphanostephs sp., and Cirsium texanum.
Comment: At time of sampling (13 May 2024), some inflorescences were completely done flowering and dry. Stacked inflorescences with upper glomerules were flowering while lower glomerules were dry and past flowering. Distance between each specimen sampled estimated at circa 10 feet apart.
