Environment description: Oak-hickory deciduous forest. This plant located along a dirt road, not with the larger population of 017-019. Sandy soil. Slope: <15 degrees. Aspect: North. Elevation: 73.759 m.

Associated species: Acer saccharum subsp. leucoderme; Callicarpa americana; Carya texana; Cornus florida; Pinus echinata; Pinus taeda; Quercus alba; Quercus falcata; Viburnum acerifolium.
Comment: Shrub, height 3 m. Flowers yellow, almost finished. Division collected; cuttings for DNA. Photographed; One herbarium voucher collected. Very close to (and maybe the same plant as) HOT23-117 [field collection number from a previous collection].
