Environment description: Prairie remnant. Ridgeline of north-facing slopes with many plants also present at the toe of the slope.
Number of plants sampled: 20
Associated species: Ceanothus americanus, Dalea purpurea, Dalea candida, Baptisia alba, Desmodium illinoense, Coreopsis palmata, Euphorbia corollata, and Helianthus pauciflorus.
Comment: Timing of collection was good as seeds were mature/ready with not very many green pods. Most were black at time of sampling (14 August 2023). Noted approximately 100-200 plants. Area sampled estimated at 10 acres (north half (burned portion) of prairie). Collection assisted by Emma Cody.
